University Executive Board
The University Executive Board (UEB) meets fortnightly during term time and advises the Vice-Chancellor on matters relating to the management and strategic direction of the University.

President and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Lisa Roberts took up her post on 1 September 2020. Prior to this, Professor Roberts was Deputy Vice-Chancellor: Research and Innovation at the University of Leeds where she led on the development of the University’s research and innovation strategy.

Mike Shore-Nye
Mike joined the University of Exeter in January 2016 as Senior Vice-President and Registrar & Secretary with responsibility for the institution’s entire Professional Services team and for the effective and efficient operations and governance of the University.

Martin Siegert is Vice-President and Deputy Vice Chancellor (Cornwall) and is responsible for the strategic development of the University of Exeter's activities in Cornwall. Martin joined the University of Exeter in November 2022.

Tim Quine is Vice-President and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education and Student Experience) and Professor of Earth Surface Science. Prior to commencing his role, Tim was the Academic Dean for Students and was previously the Associate Dean for Education in the College of Life and Environmental Sciences.

Imelda Rogers
Imelda is the University's Deputy Registrar and Executive Divisional Director of Human Resources, Culture and Assurance. As the Executive Divisional Director, Imelda is responsible for delivering all Human Resources, Organisational Development, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and Health and Wellbeing Services for the University. Previously, Imelda was Head of HR in the Met Office, and prior to that spent 20 years working in Financial Services.

UEB Terms of Reference 2025-26
The University Executive Board (formally Vice-Chancellor's Executive Group) has a number of management groups which report to it. Please refer to the for details of each of the sub-groups.
Under the University’s system of governance, members of UEB are responsible for the management and development of policy in key areas of University business, for which they are accountable to a lay member of Council, knowledgeable in the same area, who provides assurance to Council that this activity is well-managed.

2025-2026 UEB Meeting Dates & Paper Deadlines
- The University Executive Board (UEB) meet for weekly Monday morning meetings 10:00-11:00 (no papers).
- Full UEB meetings are scheduled fortnightly, and are generally on a Thursday morning 09:00-13:00, unless there is clashing Council business - in which case they will land on a Friday instead. The paper deadlines for these meetings are Wednesday the week prior to the meeting, at 10am. Please submit your paper to UEB-Support@exeter.ac.uk, having gained UEB sponsor assurance.
